How does a radial engine return oil to the sump if there are cylinders pointing downwards at various degrees?

From what I have found radial engines must use dry-sump systems and in most dry sump systems there are two pumps one putting oil in and on pulling the oil out. I have also heard that oil was just leaked and burned the Super Constellation had (if I remember correctly) an oil burn limitation rather then a fuel limitation.

Thanks Sean! I was beginning to think I'd never find an answer to this question!
