Anyone know any training facilities or instructors near Columbus, OH where I can earn a seaplane rating?

It's not the answer you're looking for, but I don't think there are any in Ohio. Your closest option is probably Northwoods in Michigan.

Many schools in Florida offer weekend courses - fly down commercially on Friday night and fly home with a float rating on Sunday.

Dang, you're right, not the answer I was hoping for! Although getting a rating in Florida over the weekend isn't a bad idea. Thanks for the answer Jim!
